Miesha Theresa

Miesha Theresa Tate is an American mixed martial arts pundit. She is also an expert in mixed martial arts. Tate participated in the Ultimate Fighting Championships and was a UFC Women's Bantamweight champion. She was born in Tacoma, Washington, she was very involved in sport throughout her childhood. Based on a recommendation by a close friend, while she studied at Central Washington University she began to participate in the mixed martial art club. When she made her debut as an amateur, she took on Elizabeth Posener (a Muay Thai professional) aged 20. Following that, she debuted as a pro in the one-night HOOKnSHOOT Women's Grand Prix. After a period of two years, she was awarded the FCF Women's Bantamweight Championship for the first time. Tate received praise for her Brazilian Jiu-jitsu style and wrestled. Her popularity increased as she took home the 'Strikeforce Women's Championship for Bantamweights' soon after. She's modeled not just for mixed martial artists, but as well for a variety of websites and publications, including 'ESPN The Magazine as well as Fitness Gurls.
