After his school days Lars joined the military services, where he did his basic military service for nine months with the Kongelige Livgarde (Royal Guards) an infantry regiment belonging to the Danish army. After having completed his military service Lars decided that it was not what he wanted and began looking for something different. He then chose to study biology. Anette who was employed by the military for a year, came home from a juggler's class to show Lars how she was able to juggle in just three days. Lars was awestruck and wanted to do it. So , he dropped out of college and went to the juggler's school. At this school he learned juggling and fire breathing in addition to other things. In the following years, he toured with two fellow artists through Europe, where they performed in cities like Paris, Munich, Moscow and Warsaw. He was introduced to a children's circus two years after. There he also learned street and children's theater pantomime.
